2023 - 2024 Season
To support teams who may not have competed before and those that would like a refresher, the REC Foundation will be hosting a national launch event for the 2023 - 2024 VEX IQ Robotics Competition season. This will be attended by other key stakeholders in the programme across Ireland but will be designed for teachers. It will provide an opportunity to give an overview of the coming season, some key dates and to introduce the seasons game, Full Volume.
It will also provide an opportunity for open Q&A on the season and game. The slides will be available to download after the event.

1st June 2023 - New season opens for registration
September 2023 - Online Launch Webinar (Date TBC)
September 2023 - In-Person Regional Launch Events
15th December 2023 - Deadline for Team Registration
October 2023 - Mid-February 2024 - Irish Regional Events (Dates/Locations Below)
28th February 2024 - VIQRC Ireland National Championship 2024 - MTU, Cork
1st - 3rd May 2024 - VEX Robotics World Championships 2024, Dallas, TX

The qualifying events that teams need to attend for qualification through to the Irish National Championship 2024 will be listed below and on RobotEvents.com for teams to register once the locations and dates have been confirmed with the Event Partners.
12th December - Kinsale VEX IQ Regional - (ES)
16th January - Galway VEX IQ Regional A - (ES/MS)
17th January - Cork VEX IQ Regional A - (ES/MS)
17th January - Galway VEX IQ Regional B - (ES/MS)
18th January - Cork VEX IQ Regional B - (ES/MS)
19th January - North-West VEX IQ Regional - (ES/MS)
24th January - Dell Mid-West VEX IQ Regional - (ES/MS)
8th Feburary - Midlands Regional Competition - (ES)
TBC - Offaly VEX IQ Competition Regional

Irish National Event
For teams to attend the Irish Nationals 2024, teams must have received an invite which is gained through qualification at one of the above regional competitions. Spots for the VEX IQ Robotics Competition World Championships in Texas, USA, will be offered at this event. For more information, please use the link below.
28th February - VIQRC Ireland National Championship - Munster Technological University, Cork (ES/MS)
Teams will receive further information and details around the event as and when they qualify, as well as updates when the event gets close.
